Featured Project: “Hero”
Hero, a feature film released on DVD in 2014, had various post-production needs, including the creation of an official trailer. Additional responsibilities for this client included assisting with color grading, rotoscoping, logo removal, motion graphics, and DVD creation. The ball you see in this trailer is one of the several 3D pitches that was added in post. (Official credits include “Assistant Editor,” “Assistant Colorist,” and “Motion Graphic Artist.” DVD available to purchase here)

Rough Cut Film Editing
The lag time between wrap on production and picture lock is one of the most challenging and financially draining parts of the production process. It’s also a time of great uncertainty – did you get enough coverage? Does the scene really work the way you thought? Do you need to do pickups before your child actors age, your seasoned actors take another gig, or you lose your location? Find out more quickly by letting us edit the rough cut as you shoot.
Fine Cut Editing
No one knows an edit better than the editor who’s nursed each piece into place from the beginning. That’s why we prefer to take each project from rough cut to picture wrap. However, we also know that sometimes you just need a fresh pair of eyes. If a rough cut just isn’t working for you or you need someone to polish it, we can help, regardless of where it began.
Color Grading
Color is a language, and just like the right words, the right shot, and the right music, the right grade is essential to telling your story. Do you want brilliant, saturated colors? The Hollywood Look? Love the feel of a particular film? We do that.
Motion Graphics & Light Visual Effects
Unless you’re directing Life of Pi, chances are, you don’t require the heavy lifting abilities of a dedicated visual effects studio. But more and more productions – even low-budget ones – are beginning to use light visual effects, such as chroma keying, motion tracking, prop replacements, and yes, even the occasional explosion. We also do complex titling sequences for front-end and back-end credits. Whether you need an effect or accidentally shot a corporate logo that you need removed, we can help.
